JCU hosted two North/FNQ combined showcases in Cairns on 27 May and Townsville on 29 May 2024 that brought together regional policymakers, industry and universities .
The regional showcases presented the capabilities and innovations of research centres and units, businesses, start-ups and industry sectors.
Researchers leading various aspects of the proposed study presented their draft findings to forum participants for feedback and consultation through roundtables and workshops.
