Dr. Pedram Rashidi is a researcher on environmental governance and science and technology studies. With a background in physics and the renewable energy sector, Pedram completed a PhD on the global governance of climate change at the University of Queensland. Now a Research Fellow at UQ’s Centre for Policy Futures, he leads research on responsible quantum innovation. His primary project involves developing a regulatory framework to support quantum-enabled decarbonisation initiatives in Queensland. Pedram has also co-authored influential reports and academic publications on the participation of First Nations people in environmental governance and STEM education. He contributes to international climate policy discussions as a participant in IPCC expert meetings on Gender, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity.
