The emerging quantum industry will touch the lives of all Australians. To seize its potential, Australian businesses need to prepare for how quantum technologies will shape their sectors and unlock new opportunities. This one-day event will bring together leaders from CSIRO, Quantum Australia, Queensland Quantum Decarbonisation Alliance, and key industry innovators to explore how quantum technologies can drive Australia’s decarbonisation goals.
This event will cultivate a discourse between quantum and industry revolving around four potential areas in which quantum technology may offer advantages. With CSIRO as their major sponsor, the four panel topics for Quantum Meets Decarbonisation are as follows:
- Panel 1: Decarbonisation challenges heavy industry and hard to abate sectors.
- Panel 2: Quantum sensing in critical minerals/resource exploration and carbon monitoring.
- Panel 3: Decarbonising through materials science and chemical processes (quantum computing)
- Panel 4: Network management and energy use optimisation
